New Business:
- Maya Nelson is the Independent Study Coordinator for BHS.
- Molly Cramer is the Independent Study Coordinator at BMS.
- Fire drills are happening during lunch time at BHS. Should teachers submit time cards to be paid for the time that was supposed to be duty-free lunch?
- We will be going through another round of RIF's in March.
- TARP funds may be used to rehire the teachers and for retirement incentives.
- Several districts in the state are using the money to reinstate furlough days.
- The District has the right to prioritize how the money will be spent.
- The district proposed an MOU for Outdoor Education.
- Conferences for 4th and 5th grades can be done on the four common planning days during the first trimester of the school year. Teachers must make an effort to confer with all the parents of all students.
- Bubbling benchmark tests has been done a variety of ways. Some teachers submitted time cards in past years and these teachers were paid. This year money is not available to pay teachers for bubbling answer sheets. The district needs to let us know what the expectations are for benchmark testing.
- There is a BTA website. We have someone who maintains the website.
- We are looking at the job descriptions for BTA. The bylaws need to be approved by CTA and then voted on by BTA members.
- BTA contract needs to be signed.
- Keith will not be in his office after January 10, 2011.
Old Business:
Meeting adjourned: 5:40 pm
Respectfully Submitted
Suzanne Huddleston, BTA Recording Secretary
